Presenters:
*Lisa Dion, LPC, RPT-S, is an international teacher and creator of Synergetic Play Therapy. Lisa is also the creator of The Business of Therapy and host of the Lessons from the Playroom podcast. She is the author of Aggression in Play Therapy: A Neurobiological Approach for Integrating Intensity, co-author of multiple book chapters and a recipient of the Association for Play Therapy’s Professional Education and Training Award of Excellence. Through her teaching, Lisa has trained thousands of professionals worldwide across clinical, educational, and organizational settings, offering a model that integrates interpersonal neurobiology, authenticity, and the use of self as the primary tool for transformation.
*Anna Gomez, MC, LP is a leading expert in the field of complex trauma, dissociation, and intergenerational trauma, with a particular focus on children and adolescents. She is the founder and director of the AGATE Institute in Phoenix, AZ, a psychotherapist, author, and international speaker who has trained thousands of clinicians worldwide through her workshops, advanced trainings, and keynote presentations. With 30 years of clinical practice, Ana is a recognized authority in EMDR therapy and its application with children, adolescents, and families. She is a fellow of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD) and the author of EMDR Therapy and Adjunct Approaches with Children: Complex Trauma, Attachment, and Dissociation, as well as her most recent book, EMDR-Sandtray-Based Therapy: Healing Complex Trauma and Dissociation Across the Lifespan. In addition, she is the co-editor of The Handbook of Complex Trauma and Dissociation in Children: Theory, Research, and Clinical Applications and has contributed numerous book chapters on EMDR therapy, complex trauma, dissociation, and intergenerational trauma. Her work has been recognized with distinguished honors such as the Francine Shapiro Award (EMDRIA, 2023), the Hope Award from Sierra Tucson (2012), and the Distinguished Service Award from the Arizona Play Therapy Association (2011).
* Robert Jason Grant, Ed.D, is the creator of AutPlay® Therapy. He is a therapist, supervisor, and consultant and utilizes several years of advanced training and his own lived neurodivergent experience to provide affirming services to children and their families. He is an international trainer and keynote presenter and multi-published author of several articles and books.
*Heather Fairlee Denbrough is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and Certified Synergetic Play Therapy Supervisor. Heather spent a long and wonderful portion of her career bringing the power of play therapy and sand therapy to community mental health as a therapist, teacher, and clinical supervisor. Heather’s therapeutic home is located at Portland Queer Healers’ Collective in Portland, Oregon, where she offers a tender space for adults ready to explore the deeper stories that shaped their lives. Through play, sand therapy, and deeply witnessed relational work, Heather supports clients in understanding their stories and transforming the patterns they don’t want to carry forward. Heather additionally works with neurodivergent teens and adults seeking an intuitive therapeutic space where creativity, special interests, and authenticity are welcomed. Heather also supports therapists seeking consultation in play therapy and sand therapy as they integrate these approaches into their clinical practice, and has a special interest in “self of the play therapist” work.
