Not yet Certified?  Here is a reminder about the requirements….

  1. Minimum of 350 supervised client contact hours using the model. Hours accrued during the Online Introduction to Synergetic Play Therapy program, the Six-Day Intensives and post supervision count towards these hours;
  2. Completion of the Certification Program;
  3. Demonstration of a skillset specific to SPT;
  4. Observation and evaluation of 20 sessions–10 self and 10 other;
  5. Completion of these additional play therapy courses offered at the Institute: Art in Play Therapy, Sand in Play Therapy and Growing Up in Play Therapy (live or webinar);
  6. Read Aggression in Play Therapy: A Neurobiological Approach for Integrating Intensity and take the book test;
  7. **Important** You must retake the Intro to SPT class every three years (just the classes, no consultation), so that you can stay on top of the latest changes. Course is offered at 75% off the price for re-cert and you receive CE credits.
