Working with Emotional Age in Play Therapy Learning Objectives:
- Identify the difference between chronological age and emotional age, and recognize the significance of emotional age in therapeutic interactions with children.
- Develop skills to assess emotional regression in children, including observing behaviors, language use, and play themes indicative of emotional age.
- Apply techniques to attune to a child’s emotional age during therapeutic sessions, fostering a supportive environment for the child’s emotional growth and healing.
