WELCOME to your First Year Certification Consultation Guidebook!

This guidebook has been created to help you navigate your role as Certification Consultant during the Synergetic Play Therapy Certification program. Please take the time to look through all of the information below to familiarize yourself with the content.  

Within this guidebook, you will find access to all of the important dates, documents, and resources specific to being a Certification Consultant to help you prepare and support your Certification students!

This guidebook will also include all program lessons and quizzes which you will be required to complete as a First-Year Certification Consultant.

Thank you for signing up to give your time, wisdom, and support to our students – you are now an integral part of their learning and integration of SPT and we are so grateful that you have chosen to embark on this journey with them.

Navigating your Guidebook:

  • Lesson pages beginning with “CONSULTANT” are designed to support you in your role as an SPT Consultant.
  • Lesson pages beginning with “STUDENT” contain the same information your students have in their program course site for your reference.

*The expectation is that you get to know your Guidebook! The Program Consultant Coordinator will be referencing your Guidebook and its contents at monthly Admin Check-ins.

Reminders Specific to your “Learning Year” as a First-Year Certification Consultant:

As a First-Year Certification Consultant, you will be required to move through each “STUDENT” lesson alongside your students, completing the Quizzes and Video Observation forms along the way.

You must move through each lesson in order, just like your students, however, you will be granted access to each month’s lesson one month before your students to work ahead.

You will be emailed a link to a Google Drive folder by the Supervisor Trainer where you will upload your Video Observation Forms during the program.

CE Credit Hours: 

As a first year Certification Consultant, you are eligible to earn CE Credit Hours for your participation in the Synergetic Play Therapy Certification program.

Once you have completed the final lesson of the program and taken the quiz, you will have the opportunity to download and/or print a CE Certificate acknowledging the 85 CE Credit Hours earned during the program.

Synergetic Play Therapy Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7450. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Synergetic Play Therapy Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Synergetic Play Therapy Institute is also an Approved Provider for the following associations:
*Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA) Approved Provider
*British Columbia Play Therapy Association (BCPTA) Approved Provider 23-01

Continuing education credit hours may be awarded to graduate-level counselors or students enrolled in a graduate-level mental health program. If you do not qualify for continuing education credit hours and would like to receive a certificate of completion for this course please contact the Institute directly.

*After your first year as a consultant, you will no longer be required to complete the program quizzes and will not receive continuing education credit for the program.
