We’re so happy to celebrate two Certified SPTers on the publication of their new books!
(Fatima) Natascha Lawrence just published The Gifts You Carry: A Story of a Sacred Child and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, an illustrated children’s book that is co-written and illustrated by Courtney Farrow-Lawrence. “Grounded in Indigenous perspectives, the story highlights culturally informed approaches to recognizing gifts, navigating challenges, and fostering resilience.”
Natascha also spoke on this topic in two Lessons from the Playroom podcast episodes with Lisa. Here’s a link to one of them: Unveiling Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Through a Play Therapy Lens.
Johanna Simmons, just published her parenting book, Parenting in the 21st Century The Neuro-Informed Parent, a compassionate and accessible guide that uses a neuro-informed, play-based, and relational lens to help caregivers understand children’s behaviors.
