Your clinical work matters. Your vision matters. And so does building a business that can actually support both.
Offered with both in-person and live online options, The Business of Therapy is a 2.5-day live, interactive experience with Lisa Dion designed to help therapists and healers think differently about entrepreneurship, get unstuck, and turn the business they’ve been imagining into something they can actually build.
Join Lisa November 12–14, 2026, for more than 19 hours of instruction, reflection, hands-on work time, and strategic planning. Whether you’re building a private practice, growing an existing business, leading a team, developing a new offering, or simply wondering “What’s next?“, this course gives you dedicated space to step out of the day-to-day and focus on the bigger picture.
This isn’t a course where you simply take notes and go home with a notebook full of ideas. You’ll spend time working on your business—with the goal of leaving with a clearer vision, concrete goals, and a strategic plan for moving forward.
What We’ll Explore
Together, we’ll dive into the mindset, strategy, and practical realities of building a sustainable business, including:
- Creating a vision and goals that are genuinely congruent with what matters most to you.
- Thinking and problem-solving like an entrepreneur.
- Understanding the different stages of developing a business or professional dream.
- Identifying your unique message and the people you most want to serve.
- Understanding what makes marketing effective—and how to communicate your value.
- Exploring your relationship with money, including the “money scripts” that may influence how you earn, spend, save, and charge.
- Determining your fees and navigating the process of raising your rates.
- Working with rejection, uncertainty, negative feedback, and the inevitable chaos of entrepreneurship.
- Identifying limiting beliefs and fears that may be keeping you from taking your next step.
- Creating quarterly and yearly goals and turning them into a strategic plan.
- Building accountability and support around your goals.
- Taking calculated risks while preparing for unexpected shifts in the economy or marketplace.
- Developing the leadership skills needed to run a practice, business, or company.
Throughout the course, you’ll also explore Lisa’s “airplane” analogy for business, the importance of Thinking Time, the feedback systems that emerge as businesses evolve, and how the challenges you encounter can become information that helps guide your next move.
Most importantly, you’ll be invited to get curious about the question underneath all the business questions:
What are you really trying to create—and what would it take to build a business that supports the life and work you actually want?
