First offered in 2024 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, 20 attendees on a first-come-first-serve basis will have the chance to join Lisa for 4 additional hours on the final day of the course and dive into more invaluable insights – Lisa will personally guide you through a series of exercises designed to fine-tune your plans and propel you toward success!

The VIP pass also comes with special surprises along the way, focused time with Lisa, and, to top it off, a night out in Sydney together (should you wish to join)! Course Details: The Business of Therapy is a 2.5 day, LIVE interactive course that includes over 19-hours of content weaving together instruction and work time designed for you to walk away with a plan in place to help you build your next entrepreneurial dream! This course is intended to be revisited year after year as your goals (and values!) continue to progress, pivot, and change!

The Business of Therapy Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the importance of having a congruent vision and setting congruent goals
  • Identify the 5 different parts of an airplane used as an analogy for having a successful business
  • Understand the 3 things required for great marketing
  • Examine the impact that money scripts have on the ability to make and save money in a business

Materials Needed: Your idea and a willingness to go for it! Lisa will teach you the roadmap and you’ll individualize the steps and put them into action in real time! Any other materials, such as handouts, will be outlined in the course site.

Day 1 – Vision, Building the Business

Day 2 – Managing Time, Emotions, and Money

1:30pm-5:30pm: Learn/Work/Integrate

Day 3 – Leadership/Being a Business Owner

8:30am-9:00am: Day 3 Begins/Work Time

***1:30pm-5:30pm: VIP Experience with Lisa!

*Lisa Dion, LPC, RPT-S, is the founder and President of the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute, co-founder of the Synergetic Education Institute and the creator of Synergetic Play Therapy®. Lisa built her first of six businesses in 2003 and has been building and creating ever since. She has written books, launched a successful podcast, is an international teacher and speaker, business coach to organizations and individuals worldwide, and she’s transitioned the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute from a local business to an international organization. 

CE Credit Hours: 19 CE Credit Hours, NBCC Content Areas: Career Development and Counseling, Counselor Professional Identity and Practice Issues

Synergetic Play Therapy Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7450. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Synergetic Play Therapy Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Continuing education credit hours may be awarded to graduate-level counselors or students enrolled in a graduate-level mental health program. If you do not qualify for continuing education credit hours and would like to receive a certificate of completion for this course please contact the Institute directly.

If you are not a mental health professional and would like to receive a certificate of completion, you may contact the Institute upon completion of the program.

Please note: CE Credit Hours provided for this program will NOT be accepted by the Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA) or the British Columbia Play Therapy Association (BCPTA) due to the course content not being play therapy specific.

Refund Policy:

A full refund of the course fee, minus a $150 USD administrative fee will be provided if the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute is notified within 30 calendar days of registration/enrollment in the course.

No refunds will be issued after 30 calendar days from the date of registration/enrollment in the course or after 4 weeks before the start of the course, whichever comes first. However, participants may transfer their payment to another course/program offered by the Institute or transfer their registration to a different year. Requests for transfers must be made at least 30 days before the start of the originally registered course.

In the case of an emergency situation that prevents participation in the course, please contact the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute directly to discuss your circumstances. Emergency considerations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the Institute’s discretion.
