WELCOME to the 6-month Online Introduction to Synergetic Play Therapy® program!
I am so glad that you have chosen to sign up for this program and that we will have a chance to learn and grow together for the next six months. In order to help you get started, please read through this message (I know it is long), but it will orient you to all of the information that you need.
As a reminder, in this six-month online program, we will explore the basic components of Synergetic Play Therapy® and truly have a one-of-a-kind experience. This program was designed for both beginners and advanced practitioners. The program runs six months and includes a mix of three, one-hour LIVE webinars with me, six 2.5 hour recorded video courses, two video lessons on the topics Synergetic Play Therapy® and Cultural Humility & The 4 Threats and the Set Up Through a Cultural Lens, and mandatory monthly one-hour group consultations (determined by the time you signed up for) with a Synergetic Play Therapy® Consultant to help you integrate what you are learning.

Monthly Consultations: You will receive an email from info@synergeticplaytherpy.com as we approach the start of the program containing a Group Consultation Request form. Within this Google Form, you will be asked to choose from a selection of times for your monthly group consultation sessions. This form will need to be completed and returned before the start of the program on October 17th to ensure you are assigned to a consultation group.
Group Consultation times will be first come first serve so please return the form as soon as possible! Your Synergetic Play Therapy® Consultant will contact you via email by the end of the first week of the program to confirm your specific group times.
It is important to remember that monthly group consultation is a requirement of the Online Introduction to Synergetic Play Therapy® program. You will, therefore, be required to make-up any missed group consultation sessions with your Synergetic Play Therapy® Consultant in order to successfully complete this program. Mandatory Book: The required book for this program is Aggression in Play Therapy: A Neurobiological Approach for Integrating Intensity by Lisa Dion. The book is also currently available in Audio format and two translations: Spanish and Japanese!

- October 2023 Introduction to Synergetic Play Therapy Class Roster (The Class Roster will be available after the program begins on October 17, 2023)
Lesson Plans: During each class you will be able to download a module handout. This handout will provide you with a guide as you watch the videos, offer homework suggestions, reminders, material references, and other cool stuff to help facilitate a successful learning experience.
Course Site Access: Access to this course site and its content will be available until 2 months following the final video release (until May 31, 2024).
Credits: For an understanding of which credits can be used towards your licensure, play therapy continuing education or other credential, please contact the appropriate association directly for the most updated requirements. If you would simply like a certificate of completion to be used towards licensure or other credentials, please email the Institute.
Play therapy credit may be awarded to graduate students enrolled in a graduate mental health program or individuals who hold a graduate mental health degree. You will be issued one CE Certificate at the end of the program for all credits earned. Synergetic Play Therapy Institute® is an approved provider for the following organizations:
