Meet Your Supervisor Program Training Team:

Judith Norman, LPC, LSC, RPT-S, is a co-founder and lead trainer of the Synergetic Education institute™. She is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and is a Certified Synergetic Play Therapy Supervisor and Teacher. She is the creator of the Developmental Mindsets Paradigm,™ is a Parent Educator, and is Certified in EMDR Therapy. Implementing the tenets of Synergetic Play Therapy in educational settings, she trains both school-based and clinical mental health professionals.

Khristine Rolfe, LCMHC, RPT-S, is a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist Consultant with over 25 years of therapeutic and educational experience in a variety of settings. She is honored to guide others in their professional and personal journeys and seeks to provide a supervisory experience that facilitates one’s intuitive wisdom, strength and authenticity.

Mili Sarmiento-Shoemaker, LPC, RPT-S, is a Synergetic Play Therapy Certification Consultant, She has been studying and practicing SPT since 2010. Mili loves witnessing the growth and transformation supervisees go through during their supervision process. Mili has been in private practice since 2013. She is an LPC, RPT-S, LSW in Argentina, EMDR trained, and is currently studying a certification program in Gestalt and Family Constellation.

Individual and Group Consultation:

During this program, you will be required to complete 4 Individual Consultations and 4 Group Consultations.

Individual Consultation will occur during modules 2, 5, 7, and 9 and will be scheduled with your assigned SPT Supervisor Trainer. During Individual Consultation, you will review your Professional Growth Plan, track your progress on SPT Supervisor Skills forms, and receive one-on-one support.

Group Consultation Dates: All Group Consultations will be held via Zoom from 12-1:30pm or 5-6:30pm Mountain Time (Denver). Consultation details and Zoom links can be found in the module lesson pages, noted below. Please mark your calendars now!

  • April 16, 2025 (Module 3)
  • May 21, 2025 (Module 4)
  • July 16, 2025 (Module 6)
  • September 17, 2025 (Module 8)

*You will be assigned a Group Consultation time based on the information you provided in the program application. Please expect to be contacted via email by your SPT Supervisor Trainer to introduce themselves and confirm your Group Consultation time by no later than February 28, 2025.


Program Requirements/Assignments:

Before you gain access to Module 1 on February 19th, you will receive an email from the Institute granting you access to a Google Drive folder. This folder will be used to document your progress and will be where you upload all program assignments.

All program assignments are due November 30, 2025.


CE Credit Hours: 

34.5 CE Credit Hours. NBCC Content Area: Counseling Theory/Practice and the Counseling Relationship, Social and Cultural Foundations, Group Dynamics and Counseling, Counselor Professional Identity and Practice Issue

Synergetic Play Therapy Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7450. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Synergetic Play Therapy Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Synergetic Play Therapy Institute is also an Approved Provider for the following associations:
*Australian Play Therapists Association (APTA) Approved Provider
*British Columbia Play Therapy Association (BCPTA) Approved Provider 23-01

Continuing education credit hours may be awarded to graduate-level counselors or students enrolled in a graduate-level mental health program. If you do not qualify for continuing education credit hours and would like to receive a certificate of completion for this course please contact the Institute directly.
